In line with our expansion plan for 2026, this Friday, 12 June, we are opening a new second-hand fashion shop in Madrid. The new store is located at 49 Calle Marcelo Usera and is our 30th outlet in the capital and our 60th in Spain.
It is situated in the Usera district, has 245 m² of retail space and stocks 7,000 items, including clothing, accessories for men and women, and home textiles, making it one of the five largest Humana shops in Madrid. It has a team of seven people.
“It is time to return and re-establish our presence in this part of Madrid that welcomed us so warmly for 12 years,” say sources from the Stores Department. Indeed, from 2013 to 2025 we had a second-hand clothing shop on this very street.
With the opening of this new shop, we now have 60 second-hand shops in Spain (30 in Madrid, 25 in Barcelona, two in Seville, two in Granada and one in Valencia). The expansion plan we are implementing began in January with the opening of a shop in Granada and continued last month with another in Valencia.
The funds generated through our network of shops enable us to support social initiatives in Spain and development cooperation projects in countries in the Global South, in collaboration with local partners, such as humanitarian aid programmes, training for primary school teachers, sustainable agriculture initiatives, and programmes to combat HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
