MULTISECTORAL, SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL ECONOMY

The added value that Humana brings to the management of used textiles is the capacity to generate resources that are destined to social programmes in Spain and in the Global South.

The reality of the communities in the Global South in which Humana works requires wide-ranging initiatives that act on education, agriculture, health conditions and human rights, always with the aim of favouring their sustainable development and empowerment.

To achieve these objectives, it is necessary that the driving force behind these projects comes from these same groups; people are essential for success.

Humana’s cooperation programmes are carried out within the framework of Humana People to People. The areas of intervention are:

  • Community Development
  • Agriculture and Rural Development
  • Health and Infectious Diseases
  • Education
  • Humanitarian Action

Humana carries out projects using its own funds as well as grants and donations from public and private sources. These projects are carried out within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.

In 2025, Humana carried out 33 development cooperation projects in 13 countries, involving 179,000 people:
