Humana returns to Valencia with a new vintage fashion shop

22-04-2026

We are returning to Valencia after six years. In line with our expansion plan for this year, and following the opening of a second-hand fashion shop in Granada in January, this week we are inaugurating a reused fashion establishment in Valencia. We already have 59 in Spain.

The new premises are located at 48 Sueca Street, in the Ruzafa neighbourhood. It features 140 square meters of retail space and a selection of 3,800 vintage adult garments. The sections include sportswear, denim, leather, and items handpicked by our team.

This opening marks our return to Valencia. In 2019, we opened two second-hand clothing shops (the first in the same Ruzafa neighbourhood and the second in Sant Francesc), but we were forced to close them in 2020 due to the impact of the pandemic.

With the debut of this new shop, we now have 59 in Spain (29 in Madrid, 25 in Barcelona, two in Seville, two in Granada, and one in Valencia). This year, we are fulfilling an expansion plan that began in January with the Granada opening and includes plans for further establishments across Spain throughout 2026.

Where the clothes come from

The garments for sale in Valencia come from donations made in Humana containers located in the Valencian Community and hundreds of Spanish municipalities. Once collected, the organisation sorts the clothing at our plant in l’Ametlla del Vallès (Barcelona). Items in the best condition are destined for reuse, primarily in our shops.

The funds generated by the retail network help drive social action in Spain and development cooperation projects in Southern countries alongside local partners. These include humanitarian aid programmes, primary teacher training, sustainable agriculture, and the fight against HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.

Valencia: The Spanish city with the third-highest selection

With 45 second-hand clothing shops managed by various operators, Valencia is the Spanish city with the third-largest second-hand clothing offering in the country, surpassed only by Madrid and Barcelona. This is one of the findings from the "Report on Second-Hand Clothing Shops in Spain: 2025 Data", produced for the second consecutive year by Humana.
