HRH the Infanta Elena to visit the Project on Human and Mapfre Foundation in Ecuador

On December 2 HRH the Infanta Elena de Borbón visited the project and the Foundation Mapfre Human being developed in the village of El Triunfo de Ecuador and aims to strengthen the professional skills of 30 young Artisan School Lions Club, in the field of auto mechanics.

During his visit, the Infanta, head of the Social Action Foundation Mapfre had the opportunity to meet participants in this project and its progress in the training cycle included. In appreciation, the youth were handed HRH Infanta Elena of a book, bound by them, which includes several handwritten letters in which they show their gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this initiative.

The project began in September 2009 with the support of the Mapfre Foundation, which funds the action directly on HPP-Ecuador, Humana's local partner in this country. This initiative provides a quality professional education, including school equipment of tools and equipment for optimal training.

In parallel, the 30 students between 12 and 17 years have created the Youth Club Mapfre, through which participants and develop various community development activities, with family and neighbors.

Thanks to this project, some students will enter the workforce working in local workshops and others who have more resources, they can pursue higher education in universities or technical in cities like Guayaquil or Quito.
