Humana has begun a round of meetings with experts and professionals in the areas of cooperation of several municipalities that assist in the financing of the education projects implemented by the Foundation. This round is part of the celebration of Teacher's Day, which falls on October 5.
The purpose is to promote exchange of experiences and information about the importance of education in the field of development cooperation. Therefore, to meet Adelfa Banze attend one of the teachers in one of 11 Schools of the Future Teachers (EPF) that ADPP Mozambique, Humana's local partner in this country, currently manages. The EPF working for the training of primary school teachers in order to achieve real progress in educating children in rural areas. Also attend one of the technicians of the Department of Humana Project, responsible for coordinating the program.
On September 29th took place in Utrera (Sevilla), the first of these meetings, with the presence of technicians from the towns of Osuna, Marchena and self Utrera. Day 3 is arranged a similar meeting in Begues (Barcelona), with the participation of representatives of the municipalities of L'Ametlla del Vallès, Aiguafreda and Begues own. The next day, the meeting is scheduled in the Vall Lliça Hostalric and also in Barcelona. On 6 and 7 will be the turn of Valencia and Banyeres de Mariola, respectively.
The aim is that the very Adelfa explain firsthand the education program being carried out in Mozambique, the country's reality and his personal experience as a teacher of the EPF as a primary teacher, and also acknowledge the assistance of the municipalities in the financing of these schools.
Education is, along with agricultural and rural development, community development, infectious diseases and emergency assistance and one of the five areas of action for implementing cooperation programs with the objective of Humana encourage progress in Southern communities. The projects are carried out in collaboration with national Ministries of Education, as part of local educational systems and complementing the work of government, contributing to innovation and development of teacher training.
