Fifth vintage Humana store in Madrid to continue promoting sustainable fashion

19-12-2022

Humana has just opened a vintage store in Madrid. Located at Calle Argumosa, 3, in the heart of the emblematic neighborhood of Lavapiés. With this there are already five vintage fashion stores in Madrid, 25 in the city and a total of 50 throughout Spain.

It has 150 square meters of commercial space, capable of offering 3,000 articles for women, men, sportswear, home textiles and the special section 'Human Selection'.

Last year, 1.97 million people bought a total of 5.8 million garments and accessories at the Foundation's establishments.

Seven out of ten customers say that when buying a garment in Humana stores they do not need to buy it at another conventional point of sale. This replacement rate confirms the environmental value of reuse and the promotion of the prevention of textile waste and the circular economy. All this within the framework of the social economy.

At the same time, it has gone from being 'clothing for people with limited resources', to being a manifestation of sustainable fashion at affordable prices with a clear component of differentiation from the 'fast fashion' offer. Taking into account, in addition, that the most sustainable garment is the one already manufactured.
