05-07-2021

Keoaudai Saiyalath is one of the 20 instructors who are part of the project “Partnership for Improved Nutrition in Lao PDR” that Humana Fundación Pueblo para Pueblo implements in partnership with Health Poverty Action, the Health Office of the Province of Khammuane and the European Union, as part of the efforts of the global movement "Scaling Up Nutrition" (SUN).

Keoaudai himself tells us about his experience within the project: “I come from the province of Savannaketh and now I live in Khammuane itself. I started working with Humana in January 2019. Based on the work we are developing and the previous experience I have, I think that the farmer groups on which the project is based are a good way to improve the lives of the farmers. communities ”.

The implementation of sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry practices generates income for the families with whom they acquire what they need to have more dignified living conditions. In addition, they are sustainable activities in the medium and long term, thus trying to ensure the livelihood of the communities for years to come.

The training of farmers is essential: “They learn to grow organic vegetables and fruits, with which they improve their diet, with more vitamins and minerals. Raising small animals allows them to incorporate sufficient protein into their diet. That is why I am very proud to be part of this project that improves people's lives. We are helping them create their own future. I am happy that Humana Fundación Pueblo para Pueblo has given me the opportunity, responsibility and confidence to work with them ”.
