Humana is one of the collaborating entities of the Circular Sustainable Fashion Week CSFW, which is held in Madrid until April 30. It is the benchmark event for sustainable and circular fashion, based on several parades and dialogue tables around sustainability applied to the textile industry.

Second-hand fashion is the most accessible door to sustainable fashion.

The CSFW catwalks are promoted by The Circular Project with the collaboration of the Spanish Association for Sustainability, Innovation and Circularity in Fashion (SIC Modaes). On this occasion, the CSFW makes the city the protagonist in its close relationships, that city of 15 minutes, an urban concept popularized by the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo and that seeks a return to the local way of life where citizens find their needs satisfied. vital needs in their closest environment. For this reason, the CSFW brings sustainable fashion to the streets.

Fernando More and the Queen Upcycling fashion show

On Monday, April 25, the designer Fernando More presents, in collaboration with Humana, at the IED INNOVATION LAB (Av Pedro Diez 3. Madrid) an upcycling fashion collection based on garments intended for recycling, mostly from the Plant of Preparation for the Reuse of the Foundation in Leganés. And he does it within the framework of Queen Upcycling fashion show.

Under the name "HYBRID" the collection is made up of unique and unrepeatable pieces, made from used garments, intended for recycling, since they could not have a second life again. More assures that “it is there where I find the beginning of the design work that allows me to play not only with the garments and their functionality but also with the poetic and morphological from an interesting point of view that ends up materializing with a qualified clothing in the matter. of upcycling, which is very different from a garment made from textiles and a pattern”, says the designer.

Dialogue Table at the IE University Fashion Club

On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, Humana participates as a speaker in the Dialogue Tables at the IE University Fashion Club, led by the OMES Ethical and Sustainable Fashion Observatory.
