Humana Promotes Emergency Fund to Address Humanitarian Crises

18-06-2026

Humanitarian crises continue to increase due to the consequences of climate change and armed conflict. That is why, together with our local partners, who are also members of the Federation Humana People to People, we have created an Emergency Fund to act quickly when it is most needed.

Through this fund, we are bringing immediate aid to vulnerable communities in countries such as Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zimbabwe.

We work with local organizations to ensure rapid, effective, and sustainable responses, connecting emergency relief with long-term solutions that strengthen the resilience of communities.

With your support we can respond to crises caused by cyclones, droughts or forced displacement, providing:

  • Drinking water and sanitation
  • Food and basic livelihoods
  • Health care and basic nutrition
  • Access to education

Thanks to the preparatory work carried out in recent years, we recently obtained the Humanitarian Partnership Certificate from the European Commission – DG ECHO. This certification recognizes our organization's ability to manage international humanitarian funding, endorses compliance with standards in terms of implementation quality, accountability, transparency and compliance, guaranteeing effective and transparent interventions, aligned with international humanitarian principles.

Donate, spread, act: with your help we can be by the side of those who need it most.
