Humana Day Galicia and the corresponding delivery of the VII Textile Re-use Awards will take place in Santiago de Compostela on 30 March. The event will be held at Hostal dos Reis Católicos, starting at 6 pm, in the Auditorium Room.

The presentations will be made by Javier Domínguez, President of SOGAMA-Sociedade Galega do Medio Ambiente, and Francisco Durán, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Santiago. The event will mainly be attended by representatives of municipalities and public and private entities throughout Galicia that collaborate with the Foundation.

The seventh edition of Humana Day is dedicated to the importance of promoting quality, equitable and inclusive education for the advancement of the most disadvantaged communities in the Southern Hemisphere. Education is a key element in the fight against poverty and in the development of communities and individuals. The Sustainable Development Objective number 4 is dedicated to education and its main objective is to "guarantee and promote opportunities for lifelong learning for all".

Through the Textile Reuse Awards, the Foundation recognizes and appreciates the collaboration of citizens, city councils and companies in the field of reuse and recycling of used clothing and development cooperation.
