Ongoing Human Day Street Action and the Photographic Exhibition on food safety

16-09-2011

On Tuesday September 13 started in the thrift store Humana Paseo de las Delicias Madrid, 'Human Action Day Street'. The objective of this initiative is to draw attention of citizens on the importance of food safety programs to improve local agriculture, and thus the population's access to food staples.

To do this, we have recreated a small market in Zambia, inviting all who passed through the vicinity of the store to 'make the purchase' and found that the amount of average salary to buy food options for all the family are reduced of flour and some vegetables and sugar.

So far, Street Action have organized stores in Madrid Atocha and Bravo Murillo. Today takes place in the Monte Igueldo and since Monday in three of the shops in Barcelona. You can follow all the information in this activity through Facebook.

On the other hand, has already begun traveling the exhibition on food security organized for the Human Day. It consists of 7 panels or roll ups of two meters, which collect information on food safety programs and Humana People to People held in this area in the South.

The panels are illustrated with photographs of such projects. After passing through the Mall of Gava Barnasud (Barcelona), the exhibition has come to CC Diagonal Mar, also in the city.

Municipalities and companies that want to host this exhibition, please send an email to comunicacion@humana-spain.org. It is totally free.

Both actions such as street photography exhibition are part of Humana Day, an annual international event involving nearly two dozen organizations of the Federation Humana People to People in Europe with the main objective to make known the work takes place in different countries where the Federation is present through various cooperation programs.

Food Safety is central to the discourse and debate of the 2011 edition of this event.
