The second-hand fashion offering in Seville is expanding with a new store specializing in reused clothing. Humana, the leading second-hand fashion store operator in Spain by number of customers, is inaugurating today, Thursday, July 10, its first vintage fashion store in the Andalusian capital. This new establishment, located at 32 O’Donnell Street, joins the nonprofit’s existing store at 52 Menéndez Pelayo.
This first vintage Humana store in Seville is located in the historic centre. It has 270 square meters of retail space, is adapted for people with reduced mobility, and has the capacity for 4,800 garments. It is staffed by a team of seven people.
Humana stores have traditionally sold all types of reused clothing without distinction. However, in recent years, following a pilot program in Madrid, the organization has differentiated its offerings into “Family Stores” and “Vintage Stores.” Currently, Humana operates 55 retail locations, 12 of which specialize in vintage fashion: six in Barcelona, five in Madrid, and now one in Seville.
“Vintage fashion consists of garments and accessories designed and produced in past decades. The styles and tastes of the 70s, 80s, and 90s are recurring, resulting in a curious mix of styles,” explains Rubén González, Retail Strategy Manager at Humana. “These are original pieces, often with a unique style and a quality that is hard to find in today’s fashion.”
