EWWR2020: Prevention of textile waste and sustainable fashion

Within the framework of the European Week of Waste Reduction, Moda Sostenible Barcelona organizes a series of practical and theoretical awareness workshops on textile waste that we generate as consumers, brands and companies, presenting a catalog of possible solutions to mitigate the impact.


All activities are free and transmitted online through the ZOOM platform of BAU, a university design center.

  • November 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. «The infinite thread, The circularity of fabrics» by Núria Nubiola from Back to Eco.
  • November 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Presentation of the Underground Couture project by Dina Bougnouch.
  • November 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Round table: «Stop worrying about textile waste because it is no longer a problem» with:

  • November 26&27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Upcycling workshop for adults from Upcycling Barcelona with Silvia Jou from Seamstress Vintage and Marta Gaja.
  • November 28 from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. Interactive workshop on tips for buying / dressing with second hand clothes (vintage) - Jacek Gleba de Comunicación MSBCN.
