The project began in September 2009 with support from the Fundación Mapfre, financing the action directly with our local partner HPP-Ecuador.

Access to the labor market is one of the most serious problems facing young people in rural areas of the city of El Triunfo. Thus, Humana and the Mapfre Foundation launched the first phase of the training program followed by a new initiative involving 30 young people, aged 12 to 17, who receive training on auto mechanics.

Students also are part of the so-called School Craft Club Lions, under which are held sporting activities to promote healthy living and teamwork, as well as other training activities to young people to acquire knowledge necessary for the creation and management of organic gardens. Participate equally in various initiatives to promote community development and progress of the whole community.
