This project, launched in 2011, aims at the improvement, enhancement and dissemination of production systems and locally adapted techniques to improve productivity and diversification through sustainable exploitation of resources.
The project is part of a broader program to mobilize, train and organize farmers and improve cooperation between them. The purpose is to increase productivity by 25% and yield of their crops and contribute to economic growth by $ 50 per farmer per year, and increasing food security of the participants and their families. This will decrease by 50% the rate of malnutrition existing in the area.
Among the actions carried out the construction of 2,500 latrines and four water pumps for 1,500 families so far had no access to agua. It has also encouraged the cultivation of vegetables, orchards establishing 60 model fields in the farmers practice with different types of vegetables, and then replicate it in their own fields.
